CALCULATION GUIDE
Understand your calculation
Clear inputs, a practical example and the context you need to interpret your result.
How it works
Coverage (days) = current stock ÷ average daily usage.
Inputs and units
Enter nonnegative stock and positive daily usage. Select the same basis for both: units, packs, bottles or kg. Usage is per day in that selected unit.
Worked example
120 packs ÷ 8 packs/day = 15.00 days coverage.
Interpreting the result
This is the estimated duration of the stated stock at constant average daily usage. Zero stock gives zero days.
Assumptions and limitations
No pack-size conversion, demand variability, lead time, safety stock, expiry or replenishment is modeled. Use available usable stock rather than quarantined or expired material.
