CALCULATION GUIDE

Understand your calculation

Clear inputs, a practical example and the context you need to interpret your result.

How it works

Computes arithmetic mean, minimum and maximum weight, then the largest absolute difference from mean divided by mean × 100.

Inputs and units

Enter at least two strictly positive weights separated by commas in mg or g. All weights must use the chosen unit; do not mix units within a list.

Worked example

For 98, 100, 102 mg: average 100.000 mg; minimum 98.000 mg; maximum 102.000 mg; maximum deviation 2.00%.

Interpreting the result

The deviation is the most extreme individual weight relative to this sample mean.

Assumptions and limitations

No pharmacopeial sample-size rule, acceptance limit, dosage-form criterion or content-uniformity test is applied. This descriptive summary is not a pass/fail test.
